Information We Collect or ProcessThreaded Bible is a Bible reading app. Most of the information you create or configure in the app is stored on your device or in your own iCloud Drive account, not on our servers.
Depending on how you use the app, Threaded Bible may process the following:
We do not use journal content for advertising or tracking. Journal entries remain under your control in iCloud Drive, and you can delete them from the app or from iCloud Drive itself.
Local App DataThreaded Bible stores certain information locally on your device, including:
Online Bible ContentIf you use an online Bible translation or online passage view, Threaded Bible sends your request to the relevant Bible service.
When scripture content is fetched through API.Bible, the app may send:
Anonymous Usage MetricsThreaded Bible may send anonymous aggregate usage events to our service proxy to help us understand how the app is used and improve the product.
These events may include things such as:
Data RetentionWe keep data only as long as needed to provide the app and its related services.
We do not use your information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We may share limited data with the following third-party services only as needed to provide app functionality:
Children’s PrivacyThreaded Bible is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
SecurityWe take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the app and its related services. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to This PolicyWe may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.

- Bookmarks, highlights, reading history, settings, and other app preferences stored locally on your device.
- Scripture content requests made to online Bible sources when you choose an online translation or open an online passage.
- Anonymous usage metrics, if enabled in the release build, such as app launches, settings opens, search actions, passage opens, shares, and similar product interaction events.

- Highlights
- Reader appearance settings
- Notification preferences

Online Bible ContentIf you use an online Bible translation or online passage view, Threaded Bible sends your request to the relevant Bible service.
When scripture content is fetched through API.Bible, the app may send:
- The scripture request itself
- A fair-use token provided by API.Bible
- A persistent app-install identifier used for fair-use accounting
- A per-launch session identifier used for fair-use accounting
Anonymous Usage MetricsThreaded Bible may send anonymous aggregate usage events to our service proxy to help us understand how the app is used and improve the product.
These events may include things such as:
- App launches and foreground sessions
- Settings opens
- Passage opens
- Search actions
- Share sheet opens
- Bookmark and highlight actions
- Split and join actions
- Download and offline fallback events
Data RetentionWe keep data only as long as needed to provide the app and its related services.
- Journal data stays in your iCloud Drive until you delete it.
- Local app data stays on your device until you delete the app or clear the relevant app data.
- Anonymous usage metrics may be retained in aggregate form for reporting and product improvement.
- API.Bible fair-use reporting is handled by API.Bible and its service providers according to their policies.
We do not use your information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We may share limited data with the following third-party services only as needed to provide app functionality:
- Apple iCloud Drive, for journal sync
- API.Bible, for online scripture content and fair-use reporting
- Our hosting provider, for anonymous usage metrics and API proxying
- Turn off online Bible translations by using bundled offline translations only.
- Disable notifications in app settings or in iOS Settings.
- Delete bookmarks, highlights, and reading history by removing app data or deleting the app.
- Delete journal entries from the app or from iCloud Drive.
